One can easily reach Mansa Devi Temple by taking local Buses, rickshaws, Tongas or by hiring taxis from Haridwar
The temple is known for being the holy abode of Mansa, a form of Shakti and is said to have emerged from the mind of the sage Kashyapa. Mansa is regarded as the sister of the Nāga (serpent) Vasuki.
The term Mansa means wish and it is believed that the goddess fulfils all the wishes of a sincere devotee.This ancient temple is situated on the top of Bilwa Parbat and can be reached by foot or by a trolley through the ropeway.
Mansa Devi is said to have emerged from the mind of Saint Kashyap and is regarded as the wife of Nag King Vasuki.
Mansa Devi is one of the major Siddhapeeths in India. In fact, it is the apex of the Sidhpeeth triangle, formed by the trio of Mansa Devi, Maya Devi and Chandi Devi.
This auspicious temple is known to have the power of fulfilling all the wishes of the devotees. Mansa Devi temple is open to the devotees throughout the year. On a normal day, it is open between 8am and 5 pm, except for lunch closings of 12 pm to 2 pm.
